Vehicle Safety Standards Certification in Ontario

If you operate a vehicle on Ontario roads you are responsible for ensuring that it is registered, insured and maintained to operate according to certain basic standards. A Safety Standards Inspection must be performed by a professional who has been authorized by the Ministry of Transportation, such as Bridgeport Road Service Centre. If the vehicle passes inspection the owner receives a Safety Standards Certificate, which attests to the vehicle’s safe operation at the time of inspection and is valid for a period of 36 days after the inspection is performed.
